KAZAKH INVEST, Amandus Kahl and Astana Agro Sign Memorandum on Construction of Agro-Industrial Complex in North Kazakhstan Region
In Astana, Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC “NC KAZAKH INVEST” Madiyar Sultanbek held a meeting with representatives of the leading German manufacturer of technological equipment Amandus Kahl GmbH & Co. KG and the Kazakhstani agricultural enterprise “Astana Agro” Production Company LLP.
The main topic of the negotiations was the discussion of progress in implementing a joint investment project in the agro-industrial sector. The project provides for the construction of a plant for the production of up to 100,000 tons of granulated alfalfa per year, as well as the launch of a feedlot for 5,000 head of cattle in North Kazakhstan region.
An additional area of focus will be the localization in Kazakhstan of certain stages of Amandus Kahl equipment production, including assembly, testing, and adaptation to regional conditions. The project is aimed at exporting products to China and the Gulf countries, underscoring its strategic importance for strengthening the export potential of Kazakhstan’s agro-industrial complex. The total investment is estimated at USD 20 million.
During the meeting, Madiyar Sultanbek noted that the project creates additional opportunities for Kazakhstan in deep processing of agricultural products and the development of export-oriented livestock farming. He emphasized that the initiative will allow more efficient use of the potential of the North Kazakhstan region and ensure a stable sales market for local farmers.
Following the meeting, the parties signed a trilateral Memorandum of Cooperation formalizing their intentions for joint implementation of the project. KAZAKH INVEST will act as the sole coordinator of the project, providing comprehensive support at all stages of implementation.
