Economy of NKR maintained growth in 2021

Akim of North Kazakhstan region Kumar Aksakalov wrote about this on his page in social networks.

"The results of 2021 have been summed up. Despite the difficulties associated with the coronavirus pandemic, drought and rising prices for building materials, growth continued in key sectors of the regional economy for 12 months. In terms of the growth rate in industry, attracting investments and commissioning housing, our region exceeds the average republican indicators," wrote the akim of the region.

In 2021, the industry recorded a growth of 105.8%. Over the year, the volume increased from 315 billion tenge up to 365 billion tenge. Factories increased the portfolio of orders by 30% and brought it to 58 billion tenge.

The volume of the index in agriculture amounted to 87.9%. The decline was due to drought. Although the harvest was lower than in 2020, the situation was rectified due to the good price of wheat and oilseeds.

"Our region is attractive for investors. This allowed us to ensure investment growth by 110.1%. Attracted 332 billion tenge. It should be noted that the share of private investment amounted to more than 83%, which is a good indicator," the head of the region added.

In the construction sector, an increase of 105.8% was noted, the volume amounted to 107 billion tenge. This includes all types of construction and repair work. Housing commissioning increased by 114.7%.

"At the beginning of 2021, we set a goal to build 340,000 sq. m. of housing, and ended the year at 351,000 sq. m. The plan for this year is 400,000 sq.m. We will continue and begin the construction of 50 budget and commercial houses," the akim of the North Kazakhstan region concluded.
