Kazakh investor to build a factory for big bags production in North Kazakhstan region
«SMB GROUP Family» will launch a factory for production of big bags in North Kazakhstan region. The enterprise plans to start operating in the fourth quarter of this year. The project is being implemented with the support of KAZAKH INVEST.
To date, weaving workshops are under construction, assembly and commissioning of equipment for the production of polypropylene thread (extruder), facade works are also taking place. The new enterprise plans to produce 1.6 million big bags annually. The project with a total cost of 1.5 billion tenge will provide jobs for about 300 people.
«I would like to note that today there is no production of big bags or polypropylene containers in our region. We analyzed and understood that there is a huge demand for polypropylene bags and soft containers in the region in particular and Kazakhstan in general. Many domestic companies purchase these products abroad. We decided to focus on creating quality products at a favorable price, while each application will be carefully worked out. In addition, the production will be located in the northern region of the country, which has become an important factor in solving logistical issues», - said Mukan Saduov, Founder of SMB GROUP Family LLP.
As investors note, agricultural enterprises of the region are key customers for the products. To date, supply contracts have already been signed with a number of local entrepreneurs. In addition, the company cooperates with mining and processing companies, construction firms and factories in various fields that are in dire need of domestic products made of polypropylene fabric.

It is especially important that new enterprises appear in the area of the Industrial Zone in place of idle premises, and new jobs are created for local residents. The company plans to expand production and will apply for an investment contract with the Investment Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This project is actively supported by the Akimat and is accompanied by KAZAKH INVEST from the very beginning of its implementation», - said Daniyar Shalabayev, Regional Director of KAZAKH INVEST in North Kazakhstan region.
SMB GROUP Family was founded in 2005 and was engaged in various commercial activities: lease and real estate lease, wholesale and retail sale of various goods, services of specialized equipment. Today the company employs about 100 people.
