North Kazakhstan state University named after M. Kozybaev (SKSU) — the only multi-disciplinary higher education institution in the North Kazakhstan region.
There are more than 5 thousand students studying at SKSU. Educational and scientific work is conducted by 25 departments, consisting of 3 academicians, 8 corresponding members, 40 doctors of science and professors, more than 100 candidates of science and associate professors. In order to provide multi-level and multi-disciplinary education, SKSU has doctoral and master's degrees. There is a faculty of pre-University training which includes a training Department with courses for the Diaspora. There is an Observatory.
