The road network of the North Kazakhstan region is 8,998 km, of which: 1,468 km is of national significance, 2,487 km is of regional significance, and 5,043 km is of regional significance.

The network of Republican highways is designed to ensure the region's access to neighboring States and regions, and through them to foreign countries. Local roads provide a link between individual localities, regional centers and the regional center, being a kind of branches of roads of national significance.

To satisfy the population in passenger transportation in the region there are 218 bus routes, including urban-25 suburban-12, intercity intra-regional-86, international-7, inter-regional-27, intra-district-61.

On the territory of the North Kazakhstan region passes the railway of JSC NC "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" with a length of 615 km.

In the region there is a subsidiary "Petropavlovsk branch" of the Federal state unitary enterprise "South Ural railway" of the Ministry of Railways of the Russian Federation, with a length of 184.96 km.

Petropavlovsk is an international airport of the same name in Kazakhstan. Is controlled by the structure of KTZH "Airport Management Group".

From 2014 to December 16, 2016, the passenger complex was modernized at the expense of the national budget. Previously, the reconstruction of the runway was completed. As a result of the work carried out, the existing pavement of the strip was reinforced with asphalt concrete 10 cm thick, the strip was extended to 2800 m and expanded to 45 m. in Addition, the taxiway and apron were reconstructed, and lighting equipment was installed in accordance with the requirements of international standards

After the reconstruction of the runway, Petropavlovsk airport can accept modern types of aircraft without restrictions. Since may 2019, Iraero airlines operates regular flights to Russia (and back) on the route "Moscow-Petropavlovsk-Moscow".

The energy complex of the North Kazakhstan region is represented by the companies of the SEVKAZENERGO group and Kokshetau Energy LLP.

JSC "North Kazakhstan REC" carries out transportation and distribution of electricity for the city of Petropavlovsk and eight Northern regions of the region (Akkainsky, Esil, Zhambyl, Kyzylzhar, Mamlyutsky, M. Zhumabaeva, Timiryazevsky, Shal akyna).

The length of power transmission lines of JSC "North Kazakhstan REC" in the region is 13,369 km, the number of substations-2469 PCs.

LLP "Kokshetau Energo" carries out the transmission and distribution of electric power in five southern districts of the North Kazakhstan region (Aiyrtau, Akzhar, them. G. Musrepova, Tayynshinsky, Ualikhanov). The company's balance sheet includes 8.9 thousand km of overhead and cable power lines, 1,749 substations and transformer stations.

The main activity of LLP "Petropavlovsk Heat Networks" is the transportation and distribution of heat energy to consumers in Petropavlovsk. The total length of the heating networks of the company "Petropavlovsk Heat Networks" is 233.5 km, of which the main-84.7 km, distribution-148.8 km.

In the region, only liquefied petroleum gas is used for production and household needs. The annual volume of consumption of the region for 9 months of 2019 amounted to 41.5 thousand tons, in 2018-49.9 thousand tons.

The supply of liquefied gas to the population and enterprises in the districts of the region is carried out through gas cylinders, gas filling stations and group tank installations.

Supply of liquefied gas in Petropavlovsk multi-storey buildings through group tank installations is carried out by "Gorgaz-service" LLP. There are 324 GRU, 460 km of gas pipelines at the service of the enterprise "Gorgaz-service" LLP. The company provides gas to 722 multi-storey buildings in Petropavlovsk. The number of subscribers is 54.6 thousand.
