Electrical plant to be built in North Kazakhstan region by Kazakh investor
"Alageum Electric" will launch a plant for the production of electrical equipment in the North Kazakhstan region. The enterprise plans to start operating next year and it's supported by "KAZAKH INVEST” National Company" JSC.
There is now reconstruction work of the former Petropavlovsk small displacement engine plant. According to experts, the new enterprise with an area of about 22 thousand sq. meters is planning to produce 13 thousand electrical equipment annually. The project with a total cost of 7 billion tenge will create about 300 workplaces.
“The plant will be one of the most modern and technologically advanced in the CIS. The equipment will be delivered from Europe. The main task this year - is to complete the construction and installation work, to start interior works in wintertime and at the beginning of next year, we will start the installation supervision of the technological equipment and launch the plant approximately in the 3rd quarter of 2021. I would like to note the great interest of the regional leadership in this project, and as investors, we receive huge support from the Akimat of North Kazakhstan region and KAZAKH INVEST", - said Mr.Sultan Ilyasov, Business Development Director of "Alageum Electric" JSC.
As an investor noted, in addition to creating new workplaces, the construction of the plant will ensure the development of the economic and industrial potential of the territory increasing the revenues of the regional budget.
“The project will be implemented on the territory of SEZ “Qyzyljar”. It provides a number of preferences, including exemption from taxes, customs duties when importing raw materials and equipment, in addition, special tariffs for utilities will increase the production profitability”, - said Mr.Daniyar Shalabayev, Regional director of KAZAKH INVEST in North Kazakhstan region.
Such a project is the first in North Kazakhstan region. According to experts, electrical products have always been in demand in the CIS market. This project will allow not only to reduce the share of imported goods in the Kazakhstan market but also to increase the country's export potential - about 95% of products are planned to be exported.
